Millcreek Children's Center would like to thank United Way Community Care Fund and the Poland
Rotary and their Chili Open for providing us the opportunity to go on three field trips this summer.

United Way of Youngstown/ Mahoning Valley
Poland Rotary

Our last field trip was to the Ford Nature Center where they got to experience the Habitat Exhibit room and were able to touch the turtles and snakes. They were also led on a nature walk on their "All People's Trail."

Many living animals could be seen up close.
We all loved the bus ride provided by Community Bus Services.

The beautiful weather enhanced our walk in nature!

This Jurassic Park model, which was rejected by the producers, fascinates our preschoolers.
We learned that this was a male turtle because
his eyes were red.

Many of us were brave enough to touch
a
cute little snake.

Our Second field trip was to Children's Museum of the Valley where children were able to experience the WFMJ Studio for Children, the Science Center, the Soloman Art Center, the Phenomenal Puzzle Palace & Stairball and the Global Grocery.

The children of MCC got to visit the Children's Museum of the Valley in downtown Youngstown!

Up, Up, and Away!
The children enjoyed a sculpture that was donated
to CMV by a YSU graduate.
The WFMJ Weather Studio allowed them to be weather-children and broadcast the forcast on television for all the Museum to see!

Our first was Villa Maria Education & Spirituality Center where they experienced the farm through their "Touch, Look, and Listen" program. The children explored the natural world of the Villa Maria Farm and trails using their senses.

The children load the buses for a trip to the
Villa Maria Farms.

They got to examine the trees for texture and bugs using their senses.
